At DatingWebsiteReview we are always keeping a close eye on the latest offerings as far as affiliate tracking systems for dating sites. I was recently able to catch up with David Hutzayluk, one of the developers over at Offerit.com a leading affiliate tracking system for dating sites and I am happy to share that brief interview below. The primary company behind the product is called toomuchmedia at toomuchmedia.com and they also offer a product called NATS.
1.)How did you get involved in the Online Dating Industry?
We’ve been working in affiliate marketing for years, and affiliate driven traffic is a perfect fit for dating sites looking for a scalable, low risk source of new accounts to keep their pool of users fresh and growing.
2)Tell us more about your offering? What is on the horizon for your co.? How can it help dating site operators?
Since Offerit is an affiliate tracking system first, our focus is making it easy for affiliates to get in, get their tracking links, and see useful stats. Every conversion is tracked and reported, so affiliates can be confident that they’re getting 100% of what their traffic earns. Our goal for network operators is to provide a streamlined, straight forward system that allows site operators a quick and easy integration, so they can get back to what they care about – running their sites. As a SaaS solution, there is no additional overhead from adding servers and the staff to maintain them.
3.)Do you feel online dating sites change the way people interact as far as dating goes? Or do you feel it’s merely a tool and society changes on it’s own.
The internet changed the way people interact in a major way. It is trivial to form new, anonymous relationships with people outside your normal social circles. Online dating a natural extension of that tendency to congregate around a common interest, for a very specific interest.
4). What impact do you think Mobile Apps /Social Discovery Apps will have on the online dating industry?
Mobile apps let busy people take advantage of what would otherwise be downtime (for instance commuting) to interact with potential partners. Social Discovery brings a sense of immediacy and shifts some of the focus towards being actively involved. Online dating is now something that you do while you’re already out.
5.) How is your software or program different than others?
We pride ourselves on a simple initial setup that gets you up and running, strong stats and reporting, and great support. Our support is provided by actual developers which means you get useful answers with fast turn around times. Our pricing structure is very friendly to smaller operators or anyone just getting started. Everyone gets full access to all features no matter how much they are paying per month.
6.) Do you feel private label dating platforms operated by small niche operators will play a role in the future of online dating.
It’s usually easy to filter out people who don’t match what you’re looking for when you’re actively searching. But when people are searching for you being part of a small, niche site is like being included in a curated list – you can expect that someone contacting you is going to share the niche that the site caters to. I think as online communities based around specific interests continue to grow, new niche sites serving those communities are going address that demand.
7.) Do you feel the online dating industry needs more regulation?
In a space that can evolve so rapidly, I don’t know how much meaningful change regulation can hope to accomplish. At the end of the day, as the number of options available continues to grow, users unsatisfied with their online dating experience are going to move on until they find something that works.
